About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will play a vital role in providing effective clinical leadership and management to lead and motivate the team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and management to the ward team, promoting quality, safe, and effective practice.
  • Support the Ward Manager in developing and implementing strategies to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and patient satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Effective Level 1 Registration with the NMC.
  • Nursing Degree or Diploma.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
  • Experience of managing rehabilitation or long-term conditions in a relevant setting.
  • Evidence of using evidence-based practice to enhance quality of care.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise patient care management.
