Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and seasoned Psychiatrist to become part of our client's team. The ideal candidate will be tasked with diagnosing, treating, and overseeing a spectrum of mental health disorders, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to identify mental health disorders.
  2. Create, execute, and oversee personalized treatment strategies, including medication management and therapeutic interventions.
  3. Deliver continuous clinical support and care to patients facing various psychiatric challenges, such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use issues.
  4. Work in partnership with psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to guarantee holistic care.
  5. Keep detailed and precise patient documentation in line with legal and professional standards.
  6. Engage in regular multidisciplinary discussions, case evaluations, and supervision sessions.
  7. Remain informed about the latest research and advancements in psychiatry to guide best practices.
  8. Participate in ongoing professional development (CPD) and assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff and trainees.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Medical degree with a specialization in Psychiatry (MRC Psych or equivalent).
  2. Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the Specialist Register in Psychiatry.
  3. Demonstrated experience as a psychiatrist in a clinical environment, with a comprehensive understanding of mental health issues across a wide range.
  4. Exceptional diagnostic abilities and the capacity to develop effective treatment plans.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
