Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Children's Services Directorate, working closely with the Service Director and other senior leaders to develop and implement our vision and strategy.
  • Lead the operational management of the Kent portfolio, ensuring that our services are delivered to the highest standards and that we are meeting the needs of our patients and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with clinical and operational colleagues to develop and implement new services and initiatives, and to improve the quality and safety of our existing services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our partners and stakeholders, including the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and other system partners, to ensure that we are working together effectively to deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to our staff, supporting them to develop their skills and knowledge and to achieve their full potential.

Requirements

  • Significant experience of leading and managing complex services, with a track record of delivering high-quality outcomes and improving the lives of patients.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff to achieve their best.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of CQC compliance requirements and the ability to ensure that our services are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Ability to work in partnership with senior clinicians and other key professionals to develop and implement new services and initiatives.
