Job Title: Director of Human Resources and Development

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources and Development to join our team at Artisan People Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Transactions & Administration:
    • Manage third-party service providers (recruiters, payroll, pensions, etc.)
    • Generate reports using HR data (absence, leave, turnover)
    • Guide employees and managers on HR transactions
    • Streamline HR administration and online processes
    • Administer benefits package (pension, health)
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
    • Ensure legal compliance in recruitment practices
    • Support with recruitment (job descriptions, screening, interviewing, feedback)
    • Build relationships with recruitment agencies
    • Support new hires throughout probation and beyond
  • Learning & Development:
    • Facilitate annual performance reviews
    • Conduct management training on policies and skills
  • Employee Relations:
    • Support employee relations cases (as needed)
    • Track employee relations progress
    • Manage maternity and leave cases
  • Payroll Administration & Submission:
    • Compile monthly payroll data with all changes
    • Prepare payroll data for submission to the provider
    • Access and analyse payroll reports
    • Respond to employee payroll inquiries

Requirements:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent
  • Experience within the beauty sector
  • Strong numerical and literacy skills
  • Ability to analyse data and communicate effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities
