Job Summary:

The Sellick Partnership Limited - Public Sector is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their team. As a key member of the legal services team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of lawyers and legal assistants, providing expert advice on adult social care law, and contributing to the development of policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Directly line manage a team of lawyers and legal assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of adult social care services.
  • Legal Advice: Provide expert advice on adult social care law, including complex cases and policy development.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to adult social care, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance service delivery.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management and other teams, as well as external partners and agencies.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Barrister with a good understanding of adult social care law.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of leadership and team management.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of adult social care law and policy, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
