About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Property and Projects Lawyer to join our team at Sellick Partnership Limited - Public Sector. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for leading on complex commercial and residential property matters, including major project work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly line manage a team of lawyers and legal assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Assist the team with complex property matters, including leading on major project work such as Glassworks and Alhambra shopping centres.
  • Participate in the Senior Management Team for the Legal Services, contributing to strategic decision-making and policy development.
  • Manage case allocation for the team, ensuring that cases are assigned to the most suitable lawyer.
  • Conduct 1:1s and HR issues relating to the team, providing support and guidance to ensure the well-being and development of team members.
  • Lead on the improvement of team policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance performance.
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with significant experience in property law.
  • Proven track record of leading on major projects, with a strong understanding of commercial and residential property matters.
  • Management experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of lawyers and legal assistants.
