About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Childcare Lawyer to join our team at Sellick Partnership Limited - Public Sector. As a key member of our legal services team, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and guidance on complex childcare matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly line manage a team of Senior Lawyers, Paralegals, and Legal Assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective management of childcare cases.
  • Contribute to the Senior Management Team, providing strategic input and advice on the development of our legal services.
  • Assist the team with complex care cases, ensuring that all legal requirements are met and that the best possible outcomes are achieved for our clients.
  • Deal with case allocation, ensuring that cases are assigned to the most suitable team members and that deadlines are met.
  • Deal with 1:1s and HR issues relating to the team, providing support and guidance to ensure that all team members are able to perform to the best of their ability.
  • Lead on the improvement of team policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to ensure that our team is operating at the highest level.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Barrister with a good understanding of childcare law. Previous management experience is not essential, but you must be able to demonstrate your ability to lead and manage a team.
