Job Description

At John Sisk and Son, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our planning management function on data centre projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting the standard for planning and project controls, and regularly reviewing the function in the preconstruction and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Manage Project Programmes: Lead in the development of the baseline contract programme, covering all aspects of design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. Ensure all elements are fully logic linked and have a critical path.
  • Prepare Construction Programmes: Lead in the preparation of a construction (target) programme highlighting areas of improvement against the contract programme.
  • Coordinate Tender Events: Prepare a tender event programme for the procurement of subcontractors, incorporating design release and lead-in activities.
  • Manage Planning Documents: Maintain electronic files and administration of planning and programme documents to facilitate retrieval as required, utilizing the common data environment (CDE).
  • Provide Programme Information: Provide all programme information as required to support the management team.
  • Develop 4D Graphical Models: Develop a 4D graphical model, where required, or 2D phasing plans to represent the sequence of build, phasing, and logistics.
  • Produce Project Prelim Books: Use the construction programme to produce or assist in the production of project prelim books, including staff resource, logistics, and temporary works requirements.
  • Engage with the Supply Chain: Engage with the supply chain to develop the project programme with regards to design, lead-in's, construction periods, plant & labour requirements.
  • Review Risk and Opportunities: Review risk and opportunities for every programme produced and highlight potential mitigation measures in the programme, including float and time risk allowances.
Qualifications and Training
  • Relevant Degree or Diploma: Hold a relevant degree or diploma.
  • Construction Management Qualifications: Hold qualifications in construction management.
  • Planning and Programme Software Certification: Hold certification for the use of planning and programme software.
  • Professional Membership: Hold membership of a relevant professional body, where applicable.
  • Advanced Training: Hold advanced training in Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6, and contract awareness.
