Salary: £11.44 per hour

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pool Attendant to join our team at Walnuts Leisure Centre. As a Pool Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and well-being of our pool users, ensuring that they have a positive and enjoyable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide vigilant supervision of pool users and ensure their safety at all times
  • Attend staff training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Administer first aid and effect pool rescues as necessary
  • Deal with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Comply with health and safety procedures, carrying out regular inspections and reporting any maintenance issues
  • Clean and maintain the pool area to the highest standards
  • Prepare activity areas, setting up and dismantling equipment safely
  • Conduct pool water quality and environmental tests

Requirements:

  • Ability to swim 50 metres in under 60 seconds and 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water
  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) desirable, but training and qualification can be provided for suitable candidates
