Culinary Support Staff – Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

Location: St Pauls Care Centre, Long Mimms, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

Hourly Rate: £11.55 per hour, plus 50p p/h weekend enhancement

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Patterns: 7.30am to 4pm / 11am to 7.30pm with a 30-minute unpaid break

Employment Type: Permanent

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Culinary Support Staff member to become part of our family at St Pauls Care Centre. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare nutritious meals for residents
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness in dining areas and kitchens on a daily basis
  • Help wash crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Distribute and collect crockery from residents
  • Manage tea trolleys as required
  • Ensure a clean and hygienic environment
  • Follow any reasonable requests or instructions from the Home Manager or Head Chef

Candidate Profile:

  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A collaborative spirit, caring nature, and positive attitude
  • Understanding of Health and Safety, Infection Control, and COSHH regulations
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory
