Culinary Support Staff – Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

Location: St Pauls Care Centre, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

Hourly Rate: £11.55 per hour, with an additional 50p per hour for weekend shifts

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Patterns: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM / 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid break

Employment Type: Permanent

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist in meal preparation
  • Support daily cleaning of dining areas and kitchen facilities
  • Help with washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Deliver and collect crockery from residents
  • Manage tea trolleys as required
  • Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Follow any reasonable instructions from the Home Manager or Head Chef

Candidate Requirements:

  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, demonstrating a caring demeanor and positive outlook
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations, Infection Control, and COSHH guidelines
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory
