About the Role:

At Two Saints, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals experiencing mental health crises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered support to individuals accessing our service, ensuring their needs are met and their safety is prioritized.
  • Record and maintain accurate client records, including risk assessments and safety plans.
  • Effectively de-escalate difficult situations, adhering to lone working and safeguarding policies.
  • Develop knowledge of partner agencies and additional services to support individuals in managing their mental health.
  • Maintain a welcoming and safe environment, identifying and minimizing potential risks to users of the premises and the organization.
  • Work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and all policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the team to provide comprehensive support, using your own initiative to escalate to appropriate services when required.
  • Attend supervision, appraisal, training, and meetings as directed, which may be outside your normal working pattern.
  • Work flexibly across all areas of operation, as required, with prior notice given.

Requirements:

  • Clear verbal and written English
  • Good IT and keyboard skills
  • Polite, assertive manner, ability to self-motivate
  • Passion for working in a client/customer-facing role
  • Knowledge of Mental Health First Aid
  • Interest and genuine concern for mental health, homelessness, and related issues
  • Knowledge of voluntary and statutory agencies
