A dynamic and forward-thinking property management company, Property Management North London Limited, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Assistant/Book-keeper to join their Finance Department in London.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, with a solid understanding of Debits & Credits, and experience in posting Journals & Adjustments. They will be proficient in using Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel, and have a fundamental understanding of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and reconcile the company's accounting system, including Bank and loan accounts, Credit cards, and petty cash.
  • Authorise supplier invoices and ensure all invoices are accurate.
  • Update and reconcile intercompany accounts, repayment, creditors, and debtors accounts.
  • Prepare and post Journal entries, Cost reports, JV Statements, Rental Schedule updates, and Audit Support for Year-ends.
  • Produce Management Accounts and perform ad-hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in bookkeeping and a strong understanding of financial concepts.
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive attitude, self-motivated, and capable of taking ownership of tasks.
  • Experience in the property or construction industry or in practice dealing with clients from that sector.
