Public Sector Sales Executive

Mimecast is on the lookout for ambitious sales professionals to enhance their UK Public Sector New Business Sales division. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in generating new business opportunities within the UK Public Sector landscape, with a focus on Central Government, Local & Regional Government, Public Health & Care Sector, Blue Light Services, Higher Education, and Public Housing Associations.

  • Recognize and strategize sales opportunities within designated Public Sector accounts
  • Execute strategies to introduce solutions into new accounts and state purchasing contracts
  • Consistently meet new business and upsell objectives
  • Collaborate with the Partner/Channel Development team to formulate and implement account plans
  • Establish and nurture relationships with prospective clients
  • Oversee business administration by generating Key Performance Indicators reports and maintaining CRM accuracy
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance relevant knowledge and skills

Qualifications:

  • Proven success in acquiring new clients and managing customer relationships in a dynamic sales environment
  • Extensive experience and connections within the UKI Public Sector community
  • Comprehensive understanding of Public Sector contracts, cycles, and procurement processes
  • Experience in selling through Channel partners
  • Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies including MEDDIC, Force Management, Challenger, and Spin Sales Process
