A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Manager to join a leading food manufacturing organisation based in the UK. Reporting into the Operations Director, this is a permanent position offering a highly competitive salary and excellent benefits.

As the Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive health and safety management system
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures
  • Taking ownership of the health and safety improvement plan
  • Establishing relationships with external stakeholders and working closely with internal customers
  • Involvement in departmental continuous improvement initiatives

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food sector. You must have an understanding of continuous improvement methods and be able to achieve results without direct authority. A Certified Health and Safety professional qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable. You should also have strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels. The role would suit someone who comes from working in a food manufacturing company in a health and safety leadership position.

This role offers a salary of £48,000 - £58,000 depending on experience, great benefits, and the company is a leading employer in the food industry.
