Job Title: Experienced Research and Development Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Research and Development Engineer to join our team at 2M Employment Solutions Limited. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for managing and working hands-on with multiple development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with manufacturing to improve current and research new machining processes
  • Manage multiple development partners
  • Be responsible for our Component Testing Program (Wear, Corrosion & Toughness)
  • Provide technical support to our Sales Team and Customers
  • Write up all work instructions and quality control procedures relating to new processes/products
  • Draft R&D Tax Narratives relating to own and others' R&D Projects

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Previous experience developing new products and processes from concept through to implementation
  • 2 years experience working as a development engineer within a research and development department
  • 2 years experience working as a production engineer with direct responsibility for managing projects to establish efficiency gains
  • Experience of preparing and delivering presentations/training programs

  • Achieving Results - able to meet deadlines/output requirements whilst maintaining high quality of work through attention to detail.
  • Effective communication - able to employ the most effective medium (telephone, e-mail or face-to-face).
  • Planning & organising - formulates plans following analytical decision making, prioritises workload and sets realistic timeframes and measures own progress.
