Job Title: Research and Development Engineer

At I Holland, we are seeking a highly skilled Research and Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for managing and working on multiple development projects, collaborating with manufacturing to improve current and research new machining processes, and identifying possible grant funding opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple development projects, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
  • Facilitate the manufacture of parts/components, collaborating with manufacturing to improve current and research new machining processes.
  • Liaise with manufacturing to improve current and research new machining processes.
  • Manage multiple development partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identify possible grant funding opportunities to support R&D projects.
  • Be responsible for our Component Testing Program (Wear, Corrosion & Toughness).
  • Provide technical support to our Sales Team and Customers.
  • Write up all work instructions and quality control procedures relating to new processes/products.
  • Be responsible for drafting R&D Tax Narratives relating to own and others R&D Projects.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree.
  • Experience of metallurgy and advanced metallurgical coatings.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to become a subject matter expert (relating to all products passing through R&D).
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel abroad on occasion.
  • Full UK driving licence.
