Business Development Sales Executive

We are seeking a driven and passionate Business Development Sales Executive to manage customer expectations and increase sales with a strong portfolio of current customers, while bringing on board new ones. Building long-term mutually beneficial and profitable relationships is key to this role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strive to increase sales within the constraints of operational capacity, securing profitable new market share and gross margin growth.
- Lead negotiations with potential customers and build relationships to maximize commercial opportunities.
- Process sales enquiries/orders and see all administration through to completion.
- Manage colleagues' sales ledgers during holidays and provide sales ledger cover where needed.
- Be an ambassador for high customer service standards, building customer retention levels.
You will have the passion, drive, and confidence to work within the business in a collaborative and creative way.
Essential skills for the role include:
- Previous business development/sales experience within a demanding sales environment, ideally steel-related or within a construction background, with a proven record of building up B2B accounts and delivering results.
- A strong understanding of the sales process.
- Builds relationships quickly, has a proactive attitude, and approach.
- Thrives off working to targets and KPIs.
- Can drive and has a full UK driving license.
