We are seeking a driven and passionate Business Development Sales Executive to manage customer expectations and increase sales with a strong portfolio of current customers, while bringing on board new ones. Building long-term mutually beneficial and profitable relationships is key to this role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strive to increase sales within the constraints of operational capacity, securing profitable new market share and gross margin growth.
  • Lead negotiations with potential customers and build relationships to maximize commercial opportunities.
  • Process sales enquiries/orders and see all administration through to completion.
  • Manage colleagues' sales ledgers during holidays and provide sales ledger cover where needed.
  • Be an ambassador for high customer service standards, building customer retention levels.
About You

You will have the passion, drive, and confidence to work within the business in a collaborative and creative way.

Essential skills for the role include:

  • Previous business development/sales experience within a demanding sales environment, ideally steel-related or within a construction background, with a proven record of building up B2B accounts and delivering results.
  • A strong understanding of the sales process.
  • Builds relationships quickly, has a proactive attitude, and approach.
  • Thrives off working to targets and KPIs.
  • Can drive and has a full UK driving license.
