We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Years Education Support Assistant to join our team at GSL Education - London. As an Early Years Education Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, including those with ADHD and self-harming behaviors.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students, using your skills to support diverse learning needs.
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCO to implement tailored support plans and interventions.
  • Provide crucial support across Key Stages 1 and 2, adapting to the needs of different age groups.
  • Build strong relationships with students, promoting their holistic development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Nursery or Early Years Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role.
  • Comfortable and experienced with nappy changing.
  • Proactive, resilient individual who upholds high standards and brings out the best in pupils.
  • Strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
  • Versatility in supporting with nappy changing and catering to individual special educational needs.
  • Capability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
