Regulatory and White Collar Crime Solicitor

Position Overview
Gherson LLP is on the lookout for a skilled White Collar Crime and Regulatory Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience to enhance our growing White Collar Crime Team. This specialized team handles intricate and high-stakes cases involving Extradition, Mutual Legal Assistance, Interpol, Criminal Litigation, and Regulatory Investigations.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Collaborate effectively with seasoned professionals across various teams within the firm.
- Manage challenging and complex cases with confidence, supported by the firm’s expertise and external Counsel.
- Oversee compliance and regulatory obligations, providing training and guidance to junior team members.
- Exhibit strong commercial awareness and business acumen to contribute to the firm’s growth.
Qualifications
We invite applications from candidates who possess:
- A qualification as a solicitor in England and Wales with 2-5 years of experience in extradition and criminal litigation law.
- Proven supervisory experience with a team of trainee solicitors and paralegals.
- A track record of successful business development initiatives.
Desirable Experience
The ideal candidate will also have experience in:
- In-depth knowledge and interest in criminal litigation, particularly in financial crime, asset forfeiture, and regulatory issues.
- Practical experience in criminal litigation, with a focus on financial crime and POCA.
- Client management and relationship-building skills, with a proactive approach to client care.
- Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, with an emphasis on drafting ability.
- Flexibility to adapt to various roles and responsibilities as needed.
