About the Role

ABV Solicitors, a leading specialist criminal defence firm, is seeking an experienced and diligent qualified Solicitor to join their White Collar Crime and Organised Crime Department.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable interest in criminal law and a strong background in serious fraud, confiscation, asset forfeiture, and organised crime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of complex and voluminous evidence, requiring efficient and effective handling.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and create comprehensive documents to support case strategies.
  • Deal with novel legal issues, requiring research and expertise in areas such as asset recovery tools under the Proceeds of Crime 2002, Serious Crime Act 2015, and the Criminal Finance Act 2017.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to the strategic direction of cases.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in relevant laws and regulations, staying up-to-date with changes and developments.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Solicitor, with a strong background in criminal law and fraud.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience in creating and managing complex documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
