About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Fellow to join our team in Acute Oncology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical medicine and a keen interest in acute oncology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage patients presenting to both Oncology and Emergency Medicine under the supervision of the consultant team.
  • Participate in the Junior Doctor rota with 80% of time spent on clinical duties and 20% on non-clinical work.
  • Develop and implement clinical governance and audit projects to improve patient care and safety.

Person Specification

  • Registered with the GMC with a licence to practise.
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • ALS certificate.
  • Experience of teaching medical students and junior doctors.
  • Awareness of ethical issues.
  • Demonstrates understanding of the basic principles of audit, clinical risk management, evidence-based practice, patient safety, and clinical quality improvement initiatives.
