Job Summary

The Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Fellow in Acute Oncology to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a doctor to gain valuable experience in acute oncology and emergency medicine, working alongside a talented team of healthcare professionals.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing patients presenting to both oncology and emergency medicine departments. They will work closely with the consultant team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of clinical services.

The Clinical Fellow will spend 80% of their time on clinical duties, including assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. The remaining 20% of their time will be dedicated to non-clinical work, such as teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medicine, with experience in acute oncology and emergency medicine. They will be a team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will be registered with the GMC and have a valid license to practice. They will also have a strong understanding of clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
