Programme Manager

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead our Block-Based Coding Accessibility Programme. This is a 2-day a week fixed-term contract ending in August 2026, with potential for extension or further opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage the delivery of the Block-Based Coding Accessibility Programme, working closely with Google Blockly, Microsoft MakeCode, and internal teams.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including Google, Microsoft, and accessibility experts.
- Ensure programme deliverables and KPIs are met, working with the Data Insights consultant to align with organisational frameworks.
- Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders and senior management.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, fostering a team-oriented and communicative environment among team members and stakeholders.
- Belief in the Foundation's mission to broaden participation in digital creativity.
- Experience in establishing and delivering multi-faceted programmes with multiple stakeholders, ideally globally.
- Knowledge or experience of accessibility and inclusion programmes.
- Excellent programme management skills, including experience of developing and delivering budgets, programme plans, risk assessments, and project updates.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a wide range of people, including teachers, third sector organisations, business leaders, colleagues, and governments.
- Ability to work independently and flexibly within a rapidly changing environment.
- Experience of working in a global setting.
- Ability to travel, including to the UK, Europe, or US, to meet with partners or to support research.
- Experience within the education sector (K12 not Higher Education).
- Experience managing user research, including projects related to accessibility.
- Experience of working on digital development projects, working with developers.
- Knowledge of the Edtech market.
- Experience of having delivered projects/programmes which engage a young person audience.
- Experience of having worked with funders as a key stakeholder in programme development.
- Ability to demonstrate the micro:bit and talk about its place in education systems and curriculum.
