About the Role:
Marshall Wolfe is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our accessibility and inclusion efforts. As the Head of Accessibility and Inclusion, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive accessibility strategy that ensures our digital platforms are inclusive and accessible to all users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Consulting Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all digital touchpoints meet the highest standards of accessibility, including WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
- Accessibility Accreditation: Ensure that all digital platforms are consistently accredited through our partnerships with the Digital Accessibility Centre and AbilityNet.
- Accessibility Statement: Develop and maintain a clear and up-to-date accessibility statement that highlights assistive technologies supported and documents any exceptions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Secure buy-in from senior stakeholders, including finance, for prioritization and approval of accessibility initiatives.
- Training and Development: Provide expertise to ensure that the business has the skills and techniques to design and build accessible and inclusive digital experiences.
- Thought Leadership: Offer strategic guidance on evolving our digital inclusion strategy and maturity.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, leading, implementing, and delivering accessibility strategies across large private sector organizations, preferably in the finance sector.
- WCAG 2.2 AA Standards: Experience in embedding WCAG 2.2 AA standards into all digital touchpoints.
- Team Collaboration: Experience working with teams across a large complex organization to embed accessibility and inclusion thinking through training, collaboration, and consulting.
- Digital Inclusion Strategy: Experience defining a digital inclusion strategy beyond ensuring compliance against core accreditation criteria/standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience working with stakeholders across various disciplines, including engineering, design, content, management, brand, marketing, finance, legal, risk, and compliance.
