Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Field Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in the Northern UK territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing sales and 6Ps goals in the Vet and Pet Channel, effectively implementing coverage plans and commercial strategies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful commercial skills, experience in field sales leadership, and a strong analytical mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Define priorities and goals for the Territory Managers' team, aligning with regional and local priorities.
  2. Ensure execution with excellence of local 6Ps plans.
  3. Supervise the achievements of team members on sales and 6Ps plans, reporting to the Country CD Manager on a weekly basis.
  4. Participate in Country Commercial Planning Process, maintaining ongoing communication with country marketing and PVA departments.
  5. Conduct effective and professional business meetings.
  6. Own an agreed commercial regional budget to drive sales and recommendations.
  7. Stay ahead of trends in the trade, representing Hill's as the strategic partner of choice with customers.
  8. Ensure Distribution Policy implementation and compliance to Commercial Selling Principles.
  9. Ensure compliance by the teams with all administrative policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification in business or commercial field.
  • At least 3 years experience in Customer Development/Sales.
  • Experience in Field Sales leadership.
  • Proven track record of successful commercial skills.
  • Knowledge of Pet Food Specialty Channels/Vet pharmaceutical market would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Communication and negotiation skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Used to work under pressure and strong focus on achieving agreed targets.
