Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at Marie Curie UK. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide comprehensive and professional secretarial and administrative support to our teams in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to managers and teams, including minute taking and arranging patient appointments and professional meetings.
  • Ensure all contacts receive the highest level of service, providing clerical and office support as needed.
  • Work with the Administration team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support for special projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Recent knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures, including minute taking.
  • Experience of working within an admin role or a customer-facing service.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work towards deadlines.
  • Values and respects the different cultures and beliefs of patients and colleagues.
  • Emotional resilience to work with people affected by death, dying, and bereavement.
