Position Overview

Are you an accomplished finance expert seeking a pivotal role to drive financial excellence? We are in search of a Director of Financial Operations to become an integral part of our organization, working closely with the Executive Director of Finance and Resources (EDR). If you are a proactive and results-driven finance leader with a commitment to high standards, we encourage you to consider this impactful position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the EDR in the formulation, execution, and oversight of the Group's financial services, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the financial management and control of the Group's revenue and expenditures, effectively handling purchase ledgers, sales ledgers, nominal ledgers, rent ledgers, payroll, treasury, and fixed asset registers.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the Assets and Liabilities Register through diligent monitoring and maintenance.
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements across all segments of the Group, coordinating with external auditors to ensure a seamless audit experience.
  • Play a key role in developing performance policies and procedures, upholding the highest standards of customer service in all finance-related activities throughout the Group.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possession of a CCAB qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA, or a relevant degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance position, with a strong understanding of financial and management accounting.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and analytical abilities, along with strong prioritization, report writing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate or advanced level.
