Job Summary

Hunter Selection Careers is seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for defining and implementing all changes to control system code, troubleshooting control system issues, and developing resolutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control System Development: Define and implement all changes to control system code, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Resolution: Troubleshoot control system issues and develop effective resolutions to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Collaboration and Training: Collaborate closely with the operations team to fault-find and problem-solve, and assist in the delivery of control system operational training to ensure team members are equipped to handle complex issues.
  • Project Support: Provide input into the development of commissioning protocols and plans, ensuring that all new projects and additions are properly integrated into the control system.
  • System Maintenance: Ensure the control system is well-maintained by adhering to all preventative maintenance strategies, including backups and upgrades, to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure the correct stock holding of control system spares is maintained to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Team Development: Assist in the development of the ABSL Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Technicians, ensuring they are comfortable troubleshooting control system issues on-call.

Requirements

  • Project Planning and Execution: Proven understanding of project planning and execution principles.
  • Controls and Instrumentation Experience: Experience in a controls and instrumentation role, with a strong understanding of specifications and regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC programming and DCS integrating knowledge.
