Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Unit Manager (RGN) to join our team at an elderly nursing home in Plymouth. As a Unit Manager (RGN), you will be responsible for managing the nursing unit and working closely with the Deputy Manager and Home Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the nursing unit and work closely with the Deputy Manager and Home Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home
- Lead a team of Nurses and Healthcare Assistants
- Develop and implement care plans to meet the needs of residents
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with CQC guidelines
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care delivery
- Provide guidance and support to staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and satisfaction
Requirements:
- RGN qualification
- Active NMC PIN number
- Excellent clinical knowledge and strong leadership skills
- Confident in leading a team of Nurses and Healthcare Assistants
- Previous elderly nursing home experience is desirable but not essential
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Personal interest in working within elderly care
- Good knowledge of working within and to the CQC code of conduct guidelines
