Job Title: Junior Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Junior Nurse to join our team at the Transformation Unit.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments and stem cell transplants for malignant and non-malignant diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct junior nursing staff, healthcare assistants, and learners within the unit.
  • Coordinate and deliver effective quality nursing care following a patient-centred model of practice.
  • Provide health information, education, and promotion within the clinical area.
  • Engage and interact with carers/family, encouraging them to be actively involved in patient care.
  • Support patients, their families, and carers during the delivery of bad news and caring for the terminally ill.
  • Perform venepuncture and cannulation, set up and maintain subcutaneous and intravenous pumps, administer medications, and manage emergencies related to this specialty.
  • Manage complaints and undertake conflict resolution.
Requirements
  • NMC registered Nurse.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
