Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Emergency Department Nurse to work in our busy Chest Clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist patient-focused advice and support to patients within their caseload, as well as supporting the education and training of medical, nursing, and allied health professionals, patients, and families as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide specialist patient-focused advice and support to patients within caseload.
  2. Support the education and training of medical, nursing, and allied health professionals, patients, and families as required.
  3. Work within the Chest Clinic under the supervision of the Lead Nurse to assist in the coordinated care of patients with Tuberculosis and Non-Tuberculous Mycobacterium and Interstitial Lung Disease.
  4. Develop and implement care plans for patients, ensuring their individual needs are met and their care is coordinated with other healthcare professionals.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and outside agencies as appropriate, within the confines of the Data Protection Act and Patient Confidentiality.
  6. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures within the Chest Clinic, ensuring they are aligned with Trust policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • NMC Registered Nurse.
  • Diploma/Degree qualification or demonstratable Professional, clinical knowledge, acquired through training to degree/diploma level.
