Job Title: Junior Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Junior Nurse to join our team at the Transformation Unit.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments and stem cell transplants. They will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver effective care, ensuring the smooth operation of the unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct junior nursing staff, healthcare assistants, and learners within the unit.
  • Coordinate and deliver quality nursing care following a patient-centred model of practice.
  • Provide health information, education, and promotion within the clinical area.
  • Engage and interact with carers/family, encouraging them to be actively involved in patient care.
  • Support patients, their families, and carers during the delivery of bad news and caring for the terminally ill.
  • Perform venepuncture and cannulation, set up and maintain subcutaneous and intravenous pumps, administer medications, and manage emergencies related to this specialty.
  • Manage complaints and undertake conflict resolution.
Requirements
  • NMC registered Nurse.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
