About the Role

As an Operations Manager at Amazon UK Services Ltd., you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence across our sites. This key position is responsible for leading operational teams, managing and developing a team of Area Managers, and creating the operational plan that helps your teams meet their targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of Area Managers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Lead operational teams on a shift, deal with issues, and positively impact site performance by analyzing shift performance against relevant business objectives and implementing actions to improve operational excellence.
  • Work closely with other support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security to ensure seamless collaboration and effective decision-making.
  • Design and deliver initiatives across the sites to improve operational performance and drive business growth.
A Day in the Life

You will lead shifts at one of our operational sites, serving as the key link between a number of teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration teams. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze performance and risk metrics for sites and prepare for different levels of demand.

Requirements
  • A degree in a relevant field.
  • Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management, with a strong track record of influencing business decisions using data and anecdotal evidence.
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in the local language.
  • Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
  • Experience in a similar logistical working environment.
  • Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
