Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end operations and successful execution of all sea freight imports and exports for our client, a leading freight forwarder and logistics provider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of professionals to ensure efficient and effective ocean freight operations.
- General day-to-day running of the sea freight office, including warehouse management, health and safety, and office maintenance.
- Handle import and export consignments via sea freight, ensuring compliance with regulations and customs clearance procedures.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Oversee team performance, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Collaborate with customs brokers and other authorities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in ocean freight operations, customs clearance, and international trade regulations.
- Air freight knowledge is an advantage.
- Previous experience as an ocean freight operations manager.
