Job Title: Clinical Pathway Manager Infant/Early Help Pathway

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pathway Manager to lead the development and implementation of our Infant and Early Help Pathways. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality services to children and young people, and their families, in the Infant and Early Help Pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Infant and Early Help Pathways, ensuring they are aligned with national and local priorities.
  • Oversee the delivery of services to children and young people, and their families, in the Infant and Early Help Pathways.
  • Manage a team of staff, providing clinical supervision and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Develop and implement care plans, ensuring active involvement of service users and their carers.
  • Ensure robust systems are in place to monitor the clinical practice of team members, in line with CQC standards.
  • Work closely with other teams within Livewell Southwest and the Voluntary, Statutory and independent sectors to ensure effective discharge planning.
  • Participate in safeguarding adults and children to level 3, as set out in Safeguarding children and young people: roles and competencies for Health Care staff.

Requirements:

  • At least three years' experience in line management responsibility for one or more multi-disciplinary teams, with a remit that includes work with children, young people, and their families experiencing mental health problems.
  • Post-qualifying experience of clinical assessment, evaluation, care planning, and risk management in work with those experiencing mental health problems.
  • Culturally competent practice with people from a range of diverse backgrounds.
  • Clinical mental health assessment and formulation of children and young people (including children aged 0-5).
  • Assessment and management of risk and an understanding of the escalation process.
  • A range of therapeutic interventions relating to mental health and emotional well-being.
  • Mentoring students, including appraisal and the setting and review of objectives.
  • Evidence of working to challenging timescales.
  • Evidence of team building skills.
  • Experience of integrated governance, risk management, and service improvement.
  • Experience of working within safeguarding systems, Common Assessment Framework/Child Protection.
  • Development of policies and procedures.
  • Experience of dealing with contentious issues and drawing upon skills of clarification and negotiation for successful resolution.
  • Experience of incorporating service user views into the provision and evaluation of services.
  • Managing teams with challenges and clinical pressures that require prioritization.

Desirable:

  • Operational management of a team.
  • Experience of using audit and analytical skills and implementing corrective action.
  • Project management experience.
