The successful candidate will deliver essential clinical administrative support to the organization, facilitating communication and assisting both clinical and administrative teams in their efforts to provide outstanding patient care.
The role involves offering a clinical administration service by accurately summarizing and coding patient records. This includes maintaining precise information summaries and medication logs based on patient updates, such as discharge documentation and outpatient prescription requests.
The candidate will utilize their clinical expertise to assist Reception and Administration teams as needed, ensuring that GPS Healthcare meets its high standards of service and patient care.

Job Duties
1. Provide administrative services through the precise updating and coding of patient records.
2. Address inquiries from external entities, such as insurance providers and legal representatives, to process medical reports and record copies as necessary.
3. Uphold back-office administration in accordance with internal policies and national regulations.
4. Maintain accurate summaries of information and medication records based on patient updates, including discharge letters and outpatient prescription requests.
5. Ensure patient records are updated from daily correspondence, maintaining informative summaries and complete medication records by reflecting prescription changes related to discharge letters and outpatient requests.
6. Apply knowledge of clinical systems to comprehend performance requirements and assist in achieving these standards, including auditing and quality frameworks.
7. Contribute to the generation of information for clinical audits and performance assessments, undertaking additional tasks related to practice performance as required.
8. Support the development and updates of clinical templates to meet clinical needs, achieve standardization, and ensure the accuracy of patient records.
9. Handle inquiries received verbally, in writing, and in person with professionalism and courtesy.
10. Provide support and coverage for Reception and Administration teams as needed to meet GPS Healthcare's service and patient care standards, including reception duties, escalated inquiries, recalls, reports, registrations, and documentation tasks.
11. Collaborate effectively with external agencies, liaising with other healthcare professionals and administrative staff regarding the accurate recording of patient histories and care plans.
12. Engage in personal development by participating in annual appraisals.
13. Act as a positive and supportive team member, attending relevant meetings, training sessions, and conferences as required.
14. Identify opportunities for quality enhancement, risk mitigation, or development, actively participating in achieving business objectives.
15. Ensure compliance with practice policies, including equality and diversity, information governance, confidentiality, and health and safety.
16. Provide administrative assistance to the Management Team as necessary.
17. Perform other duties as reasonably required.
