About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced book-keeper to join our growing Outsourced Business Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day book-keeping, management reporting, VAT obligations, and preparation of trial balance for a range of business clients.

About the Responsibilities
  • Assist with book-keeping, management reporting, and VAT obligations for a portfolio of clients.
  • Provide book-keeping services to clients, from source documents to trial balance preparation.
  • Support and train clients on accounting software and manage deadlines in line with client expectations.
  • Reconcile multiple bank accounts and process quarterly and monthly VAT returns.
  • Produce quarterly and monthly Management Accounts.
  • Support the team manager with management responsibilities and review junior team members' work activities.
  • Monitor WIP on clients and lead on billing activities.
  • Manage client relationships, including meeting clients periodically and developing relationships.
About the Applicant

We are looking for a qualified accountant with at least 1 year's post-qualification experience and a strong background in book-keeping, management accounts, and trial balance preparation. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Xero and a basic knowledge of VAT concepts and tax planning ideas for clients.
