About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our team at FIRE. As a key member of our Audit and Assurance department, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of small and medium-sized audit clients, including UK multinational and private groups, as well as PE-backed enterprises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of internal staff and external contractors to deliver high-quality audit services to clients.
  • Develop and implement audit strategies to ensure effective risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with non-audit service teams to provide comprehensive services to clients.
  • Review and appraise internal working practices to identify areas for improvement and ensure high audit quality.
  • Establish audit approaches, review audit work papers, and ensure timely completion of audit files.
  • Act as a trusted business adviser to clients, managing a varied and growing portfolio and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues and clients.
Requirements
  • Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant with a minimum of 2 years of experience managing and running a varied audit portfolio.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP/FRS 102 and experience of using CaseWare audit software.
  • Expertise in using Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
