HR Associate

We are seeking an experienced HR Associate to join our team at Skanska UK Plc. As an HR Associate, you will be responsible for providing a customer-focused first line response to the business through the HR helpdesk and delivering all HR processes related to the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide HR support to employees on a wide range of HR issues, including benefits and policies, via the HR Case Management System (CMS) in line with company values and best HR practice.
- Work closely with other teams, such as HR Business Partners, HR Data specialists, Payroll, Pensions, Occupational Health, Car Fleet, Resourcing, and Rewards & Benefits teams.
- Participate in projects as requested, including continuous improvement to the service we offer.
- Support the Risk & Compliance Team with processing DSAR requests.
- Produce relevant documentation in an accurate and timely manner in line with HR procedures and with adherence to payroll cut off dates.
- Manage the new starter/on-boarding process through the recruitment portal from generating the contract to co-ordination with other teams, ensuring all Right to Work documentation is obtained and DBS checks are carried out as appropriate to the role.
- Previous experience within an HR environment, with a particular focus on query resolution, process administration, HR systems, HR Policies, and basic employee relations.
- Demonstrable planning and prioritising skills.
- A strong communicator both verbally and in writing.
- Motivation to progress your career within HR.
- Experience of all MS Office packages, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel.
