Job Title: HR Associate

We are seeking an experienced HR Associate to join our team at Skanska UK Plc. As an HR Associate, you will be responsible for providing a customer-focused first line response to the business through the HR helpdesk and delivering all HR processes related to the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide HR support to employees on a wide range of HR issues, including benefits and policies, via the HR Case Management System (CMS) in line with company values and best HR practice.
  2. Work closely with other teams, such as HR Business Partners, HR Data specialists, Payroll, Pensions, Occupational Health, Car Fleet, Resourcing, and Rewards & Benefits teams.
  3. Participate in projects as requested, including continuous improvement to the service we offer.
  4. Support the Risk & Compliance Team with processing DSAR requests.
  5. Produce relevant documentation in an accurate and timely manner in line with HR procedures and with adherence to payroll cut off dates.
  6. Manage the new starter/on-boarding process through the recruitment portal from generating the contract to co-ordination with other teams, ensuring all Right to Work documentation is obtained and DBS checks are carried out as appropriate to the role.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience within an HR environment, with a particular focus on query resolution, process administration, HR systems, HR Policies, and basic employee relations.
  2. Demonstrable planning and prioritising skills.
  3. A strong communicator both verbally and in writing.
  4. Motivation to progress your career within HR.
  5. Experience of all MS Office packages, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel.
