About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Management Specialist to join our team at Adecco. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, kitting, and delivering items to our production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, store, kit, and deliver items to the production teams in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Control and manage inventory levels, including tracking and reporting on stock levels, inventory movements, and discrepancies.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of inventory, including implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures.
  • Liaise with production teams to ensure that materials are available for manufacturing and that production schedules are met.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the inventory team, including training, assigning, scheduling, planning, and disciplining team members.
  • Coordinate resource requests with other teams and departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Control and manage material, consumables, and inventory of special project spares and associated clean room materials.
  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager with daily management tasks, including inventory management, logistics, and supply chain operations.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement activities to optimize inventory management processes and resolve issues when identified.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed and recommend changes to them when appropriate.
  • Ensure received items are booked in and located correctly within the agreed time frame.
  • Ensure items are kitted for production in line with the production schedule.
  • Ensure the dispatch process is followed and items are packaged appropriately and dispatched in a timely manner.
  • Ensure customers and suppliers receive goods in line with their expectations.
  • Demonstrate the stores department is meeting its objectives through measurement and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure inventory is managed using First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principles.
  • Use appropriate commodity management methods, such as Kanban, to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
  • Carry out a perpetual stock take to ensure 100% of inventory is checked on an annual basis.
  • Investigate and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Maintain the warehouse to maximize its efficiency and optimize storage capacity.
  • Ensure vehicles, plant, and equipment are maintained and available for use at all times.
  • Carry out other tasks and activities as required by management.
  • Ensure all shipments comply with Export Controls and Dangerous Goods Controls.

Requirements:

  • Experience of operating in a manufacturing environment.
  • The ability to react swiftly as situations change and/or develop.
  • Experience in Export control.
  • Experience in handling dangerous goods.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Computer literate and the ability to use an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • The ability to plan, prioritize, and effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
  • A positive 'can-do' attitude.
  • Motivational and accountable.
  • Team, customer, and quality focused.
  • Outcome and solution focused.
  • Full current driving license and a valid passport required.
  • Due to the nature of this business, all candidates will be required to undergo security clearance at SC level.
