Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist in Social Services at NELFT

We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner in Social Services Occupational Therapy to join our Integrated Children's OT team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary specialist children's service, collaborating with physiotherapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver a client-centered service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home assessments to identify barriers to children's participation in daily activities and provide solutions.
  • Collaborate with various teams to deliver a client-centered service and support children to reach their potential.
  • Contribute to service development and mentor junior colleagues, peers, and students.
  • Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in social care and 3 years post-graduate experience in OT
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation such as the Children Act and Care Act
  • Experience in recommending home adaptations for accessibility and safety
  • Audit and research experience preferred
