About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Team Lead to join our team at dnata Catering UK. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our internal supply process, managing quality, safety, and security standards, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement production plans to meet scheduled targets, utilizing best practice tools and techniques.
    • Manage labor costs, ensuring they are achieved to target.
    • Coordinate period-end stock take activities and ensure accuracy.
  • Quality, Safety, and Security
    • Ensure compliance with legislative, customer, and company standards.
    • Implement and maintain best practice to ensure compliance.
    • Monitor performance and introduce corrective action plans as required.
  • Team Management and Development
    • Manage the performance of your team to achieve targets and drive productivity improvements.
    • Develop and implement training plans to ensure compliance and improve skills.
    • Coach and support staff to achieve their full potential.
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
    • Provide excellent customer service, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
Requirements
  • People Management Skills
    • Experience in managing teams and leading change initiatives.
    • Ability to deal with performance issues, grievances, and absence management.
  • Business Acumen
    • Understanding of business operations, including production planning, quality control, and supply chain management.
    • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
    • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills
    • Computer literacy, with experience in using software applications relevant to the role.
    • Understanding of health and safety regulations and food safety procedures.
