About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Portfolio Manager to join our team at Airgas. As a key member of our Cluster Product Management team, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our Business strategy and Operations capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage product portfolio and competitive intelligence in your market to define product supply/demand analysis and strategic capacity planning.
  • Determine product pricing policies, strategic sourcing options, and monitor product profitability at Cluster level.
  • Coordinate product technical compliance (e.g., regulations) and innovation development and roll-out in the Cluster.
  • Manage the Product Referential of your products at Cluster level, jointly with peers from other clusters.

Product Intelligence

  • Closely monitor the field to perform products competitive intelligence and product market intelligence at country level and consolidate at cluster level.
  • Perform technical watch on your product range.

Product Industrialization and Innovation / Contribution to Offer Development

  • Coordinate product industrialization (e.g., capacity planning, supply/demand management) by working in close contact with industrial operations.
  • Prioritize product implementation and define delivery channels with Supply Chain.
  • Determine product innovation deployment roadmap across cluster and drive implementation by country product managers.
  • Be a source of product innovation.

Product Profitability

  • Define appropriate product line metrics.
  • Monitor product line profitability, including pricing (with close collaboration with pricing managers) and volume impact.
  • Propose actions to reach profitability objectives.

Product Referential

  • Define (with peers from other Clusters) the product referential management based on the Offer management programs and be responsible for cascading it to your cluster.
  • Be the administrator of your product referential for your cluster (validate requests for access brought by countries and cluster teams).
  • Define the Cluster product technical specifications.
  • Be in charge of Product Catalog at Cluster level.

Strategic Sourcing - Crisis Management

  • Collect data on demand and supply to propose strategic sourcing options with the collaboration of Cluster SC Logistics/Sourcing Managers/IBO.
  • Identify local sources (e.g., LCO2).
  • In case of product crisis, be in charge of the link between capacity (supply) and demand (customers' needs).
  • Prepare or help actively prepare Investment notes (CPR/RIC).

Requirements

  • Advanced technical knowledge of Industrial processes and gas application within the markets.
  • Capability to elaborate capacity planning, supply/demand analysis & strategy.
  • Capability to develop pricing policies.
  • Industrial Safety and risk management knowledge.
  • Broad knowledge of customers' base.
  • Capability to develop and interpret the P&L of a product range.
