Position: Director of IgniteVC
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic leader to join our organization as the Director of IgniteVC, directly reporting to our Executive Director. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in venture capital, portfolio management, and a robust background in life sciences or related fields. Familiarity with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the IgniteVC Advisory Board to formulate a strategic business model and program framework
- Lead the initiation and management of innovative projects and resources
- Drive fundraising activities and sustain partnerships with sponsors
- Establish and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the venture capital landscape
- Oversee and enhance reporting methods for sponsor relations
- Work closely with various teams within LabCentral to ensure the success of programs
- Develop and present fundraising proposals to decision-makers
Qualifications and Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of diversity and inclusion practices in healthcare innovation
- Expertise in venture capital principles
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships within the VC sector
- Experience in non-profit or business development
- Demonstrated experience in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB)
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- This is a hybrid role requiring regular onsite presence
