Position Overview: Director of IgniteVC

We are seeking a proactive and visionary leader to take on the role of Director of IgniteVC, directly reporting to our Executive Director. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in venture capital, portfolio management, and a robust background in life sciences or related fields. A strong understanding or involvement in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the IgniteVC Advisory Board to formulate a strategic business model and program framework.
  • Lead the initiation and management of innovative projects and resources.
  • Drive fundraising initiatives and sustain partnerships with sponsors.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the venture capital landscape.
  • Oversee and enhance reporting methodologies for sponsor engagement.
  • Work closely with various teams within LabCentral to ensure the success of programs.
  • Develop and present fundraising proposals to decision-makers.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of diversity and inclusion practices in healthcare innovation.
  • Expertise in venture capital principles.
  • Proven track record of building and managing relationships within the VC sector.
  • Experience in non-profit or business development.
  • Demonstrated experience in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB).
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • This is a hybrid role requiring regular onsite presence.
