Project Manager / Business Analyst

*This position is a fixed-term contract for three months.*

£60,000- £66,000 per annum (pro-rata)

Main Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager / Business Analyst to join our dynamic IT and operations team. Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, the primary focus will be on supporting the delivery and implementation of a new technological solution for our Lettings division, along with other significant business initiatives. This includes addressing point-of-sale requirements, property management needs, and back-office client accounting.

You will engage proactively with both internal and external stakeholders to gather, communicate, and validate requirements, ensuring the most suitable solutions are identified, taking into account existing practices, business processes, and industry trends to deliver tangible business value. This is a new and exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual with a profound understanding of effective IT program delivery.

The ideal candidate will excel at managing complex workloads, priorities, and stakeholder relationships across a broad geographical area.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, optimize, and manage schedules and project plans across various teams and suppliers. Provide guidance on timelines and dependencies necessary for implementation, including detailed breakdowns. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies, establishing governance frameworks for the organization. Collect and manage requirements while conducting thorough business and systems process analysis to fully comprehend needs. Facilitate collaboration among project teams to ensure that the implications of any solution are comprehensively considered and addressed. Collaborate closely with various stakeholders from business units, technical teams, and third-party providers to ensure proposed solutions are well understood and approved. Offer analytical support for project challenges, ensuring all issues are tracked and reported promptly. Participate in project planning, team meetings, reviews, release planning, demonstrations, and other necessary gatherings. Deliver quality outcomes that meet specifications, timelines, and budget constraints. Seek opportunities to enhance project processes and results, identifying areas for improvement and collaborating with operational teams to implement necessary changes.

Required Competencies:

Candidates should also have:

The ability to quickly absorb business knowledge and interpret it logically. Strong analytical skills, with the capability to view challenges from multiple perspectives, formulate recommendations, and support chosen solutions with reasoned arguments. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex business issues to diverse audiences and demonstrate experience in drafting requirements specifications. The ability to assess project tasks and risks and delegate responsibilities to team members. Proficiency in managing project schedules and timelines, ensuring quality checks, and monitoring progress against established timelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

A minimum of five years' experience in Project Management and/or Business Analysis, with references. Knowledge or experience in the letting property process and/or Financial Services mortgage lending is advantageous. A solid understanding of analysis and design techniques, with experience in business process identification, modeling, and documentation. Familiarity with project management software for planning and monitoring tasks is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
