Senior Environmental Health and Safety Consultant

Schaeffler is seeking a committed Senior Environmental Health and Safety Consultant to enhance our team. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with strategizing and executing initiatives related to EHS components, ensuring adherence to regional regulations and legal requirements. Your responsibilities will also encompass the development and enforcement of policies, standards, and protocols for EHS matters, alongside overseeing management systems on a regional or local scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and execute EHS initiatives to fulfill sustainability objectives
  • Develop and enforce policies and protocols
  • Oversee management systems on a regional or local basis
  • Conduct assessments and offer guidance on related topics
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and regulatory bodies

Qualifications:

  • Certification in Health, Safety, and Environment
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Mandatory)
  • Experience in Manual Handling Assessments
  • Background in a manufacturing or engineering setting
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Proficient in IT applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP
