EHS Projects is a dynamic environmental consultancy based in Sheffield, serving clients nationwide. Our team has established a strong reputation across various sectors, including food and beverage, chemicals, engineering, waste management, and aviation. Our consultants engage in a multidisciplinary approach, focusing on legal compliance audits, carbon and energy data analysis, sustainability initiatives, environmental reporting, project management, and permitting processes.
Objective
We are looking to expand our Sheffield team by hiring an Environmental Consultant or Senior Consultant. Candidates should possess relevant experience in environmental consultancy or EHS roles. A solid technical background in auditing, carbon/energy data management, or environmental permitting is highly desirable. Our consultants prioritize on-site client engagement to better understand their operations. Travel within the UK is required, with occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
As an Environmental Consultant, you will:
- Collaborate with a team of environmental, health, and safety consultants to support operational activities.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and management systems.
- Perform technical evaluations related to water, soil, waste, and air pollution risks.
- Assist clients in obtaining necessary permits and authorizations.
- Deliver projects focused on energy and carbon data analysis, accounting, and reporting.
- Support clients in developing and achieving sustainability goals.
- Enhance commercial and leadership capabilities.
- Build and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Demonstrate a commitment to expanding and diversifying EHS Projects' service offerings.
Essential Qualifications:
- At least one year of relevant experience in environmental consultancy or EHS roles.
- A degree in Environmental Science, Geography, Geology, or a related STEM discipline.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
- A valid UK driving license.
- Access to a vehicle and willingness to travel within the UK and Ireland.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in environmental or EHS auditing.
- Knowledge of environmental permitting and related authorizations.
- Experience conducting technical assessments of environmental risks.
- Familiarity with developing environmental management systems.
- Experience working with energy and carbon data or low carbon initiatives.
