Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Health and Safety Consultant to join our team in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in H&S consultancy, regulatory work, or a professional SHE role. The successful candidate will work closely with our clients to provide expert advice and support in health and safety management systems, legal compliance auditing, and corporate auditing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake health and safety audits with scopes including legal compliance, management systems, or corporate agendas.
  • Deliver on H&S management systems support projects.
  • Work on CDM projects to support Principal Designer works such as Pre-Construction Information, Construction Phase Plans, and site visits.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with new and existing clients.
  • Show an ambition to grow and diversify the services that EHS Projects offer.
Requirements
  • At least two years of experience of H&S consultancy, regulatory work, or in a professional EHS role.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate and working towards NEBOSH Diploma.
  • Health and safety workplace auditing in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and SHE best practice.
  • Client-facing with strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach.
  • Proficient report writing skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Independent diary and time management skills.
  • Valid UK driving licence, access to a car, and willingness to travel across the UK.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent NVQ.
  • Knowledgeable in CDM Regulations with experience as Principal Designer or equivalent.
  • Qualifications and/or experience in Process Safety work (including DSEAR and process hazard analysis).
  • Qualifications and/or experience in Machinery Safety (ISO 12100 risk assessment or PUWER).
  • Environmental consultancy or environmental management experience.
  • A degree in a safety, science, technology, engineering, or mathematics subject.
